![]() Dr. Kate Atchley
|
Kate Atchley is the director of Leadership Development Programs for The University of Tennessee's Executive MBA programs, and also teaches Organizational Behavior and Human Resources for UT's full-time MBA program. She has consulted for various companies both nationally and in Bangkok, Thailand, including Shinawatra Company, Inc.; Ruby Tuesday, Inc.; Tennessee Valley Authority; Boeing; and BellSouth. While working in Thailand, Kate was a guest lecturer at Burapha University, where she conducted classes in cognitive and personality testing as it relates to employee selection. She has presented papers and symposia at a variety of national and professional conferences, and is currently acting as an advisory editor for The Encyclopedia of Health Care Management. Dr. Atchley is also a partner of the Tennessee Assessment Center, a company specializing in the selection of managers and executives. Her areas of interest are employee selection, executive development, and performance appraisal. Dr. Atchley received her Ph.D. in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from The University of Tennessee.
