During the summer, students are required to have an internship in the organization and/or industry of their choice. These internships are invaluable experiences for a variety of reasons: they allow students to have additional work experience in a business or related environment, they enhance learning within a concentration area, they allow students to apply skills that they learned during the first year of the program, they can help clarify career goals, and, very often, they can result in a full-time job opportunity. Internships are meant to be substantive positions of responsibility that will add educational and leadership value to the student, as well as create value for the sponsoring firm. |
