That is what Career Management at the UT Full-Time MBA Program is all about. Our goal is to understand what you are trying to achieve, and then, employ our expertise, resources, and connections to help you get there.
The Office of MBA Career Management assists MBA students to launch themselves in rewarding careers through counseling, career management training, and placement in organizations recruited as partners and potential employers. We echo the Haslam College of Business’ Mission: in that we are a community that serves the citizens and businesses of Tennessee and beyond. We support learning through the creation and sharing of knowledge. We succeed when our work, and that of our students and partners, generates nationally and internationally recognized outcomes that improve the world. The core values of the Haslam College of Business and the Office of MBA Career Management and Alumni Relations rest on the pillars of Integrity, Inclusion, Insight, and Impact.
The Office of MBA Career Management is dedicated to facilitate and assist in the development of the skills necessary for each MBA student to successfully formulate and execute a personalized career action plan. The MBA Career Management Team acts as a coach as students identify, practice, and hone their personalized career search and works to facilitate the developmental steps necessary to empower student to become their own career manager.
The 4-D Framework of Empowerment is used as the roadmap to help each student become their own career manager. There are many components to learning to successfully manage and implement a personal career search. The 4-D Framework will provide a step-by-step process to engage and guide throughout the job search process.
Business Skills Career Development Module: It is never too early to start planning for life after graduation. In the first year of your MBA program, you will take a Business Skills course, which includes a Career Development module. No matter where you are on the career ladder, this practical course offers the feedback on what employers are looking for, cutting-edge job search techniques, and up-to-date information required to land the job you want.
