Our Career Management Class Teaches MBA Candidates How to Network, Interview and Present Themselves and Gives Your Company Unprecedented First-Hand Exposure

UT’s full-time MBA program is one of the few programs that mandates the taking of a career management class. In addition to training our MBA candidates, this class offers the opportunity for you to brand yourself with potential employees before they graduate.

Searching for a job is a valuable life skill. Our first-year students participate in this class to prepare themselves for upcoming career searches. The course covers a wide variety of topics including how to write resumes and cover letters, and how to network and interview. In addition, employers provide students with real-world perspectives while gaining visibility for their companies with the students.

Our MBA Summer Internship Program Helps You Discover Future Talent

Our MBA students are required to participate in a three-month paid internship in the middle of the program — after they take all their basic courses and before they focus on their core concentration. This provides students with the opportunity to apply what they have learned to your organization and to gain real-life experiences that develop and support the skills gained through the MBA program.

The summer internship is a valuable resource for students to get involved in projects or other three-month assignments, but, for employers, it is an extremely valuable talent identification tool. Over the three months, while the students obtain on-the-job training, employers get to know the students and their professional capabilities. This experience often is known as the “try before you buy” or “three-month interview.” For many employers, the summer internship helps companies identify talent to add to their longer-term needs.
