This focus prepares you for a career as a security analyst, money manager, brokerage firm analyst, insurance company representative, or other financial job function.
Financial management is concerned with the duties of the financial manager in business, including risk management, strategic planning, budgeting, financial forecasting, cash management, credit administration, investment analysis, and funds procurement.
This specialty is geared toward management careers in commercial banking, investment banking or capital markets. Coursework blends coverage of traditional commercial banking topics (lending, investment and trust services) with investment banking topics (underwriting, market-making, and initial public offerings), in keeping with the trend of consolidation for these two areas.
