Orientation
Your first week on campus introduces you to the University of Tennessee, the MBA program, and your new classmates. During this intensive week, you are on campus daily (8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.). Our purpose is to build a foundation of essential computer skills, business fundamentals, communication skills, and team-building skills, plus we kick-off the process for mapping out your career path as the first step towards securing your internship.
You can expect a traditional classroom format in addition to a series of hands-on, experiential activities and assignments, including a two-day negotiation exercise that allows you to experience first-hand the challenges that exist in negotiating with others who have different goals and strategies.
